Andy Xiao (or Yang Xiao, my real name) was born in China (the country which is known for its high regards of human rights and the freedom of speech). Now studying liberal arts in Berlin, he is striving to integrate his Eastern background with Western culture. Therefore, he is particularly interested in sharing his struggles, insights and reflections during his integration journey. Other than that, he is also a person of the spoken-word, which makes him interested in reviving the interview tradition that the blog once started. He is also fascinated by philosophy and art — he spent the first half of his last winter break in reading Plato and Nietzsche, while the second half in travelling around Rome and Florence to encounter Renaissance art. Oh, and he is also very into meditation — as long as it doesn’t drive him nuts again.
