What’s Next? – A Senior Interview Series (#1: Åsa Dahlborn & Colomba Dumay)

The liberal arts focus of Bard College Berlin allows us students to delve into a variety of areas and disciplines as part of our diverse education. Yet, with the freedom of a liberal arts curriculum also comes the difficult part of choosing which path to follow as graduation approaches. I was curious to know more about BCB’s Class of 2020 seniors’ plans for the future, as well as how their learning experiences here have helped them make certain decisions.

A Day in Lecce, Italy

Lecce is a walled baroque city in the bootheel of Italy. I’ve decided to stay here alone for three weeks of break before returning to school. My travels and daily ambulation are for the high purpose of reading, writing, and drawing all that is around and within me, which, if I meditate enough, will be nothing. I write to stop writing.

We Are The Walls

We are the walls who have stood for one hundred years and we will stand for one hundred more at the discretion of God, the weather, and those who reside inside of us. We have stood regardless of the scurryings of rodents on our backs and the people who painted our faces anew.

The One About ThesisSlam!

On Wednesday, the 8th of May, nine BCB seniors gathered in be’kech Anti-Cafe in Moabit to present their thesis research to a room full of students and strangers alike. The event, titled ThesisSlam, attracted a total of 40 people who all cozied up in the basement of the cafe.
